These Airdrop Terms ("Airdrop Terms") govern the distribution of AFRI tokens by Africore Technologies Ltd. ("Africore") to eligible participants through Africore's community airdrop programme ("Airdrop"). These Airdrop Terms are supplemental to and incorporated into Africore's Terms & Conditions. In the event of a conflict, these Airdrop Terms shall prevail with respect to the Airdrop only.
The Airdrop is a discretionary programme conducted by Africore at its sole discretion. Participation in the Airdrop does not constitute a purchase, investment, or right to future distributions. Africore reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Airdrop at any time without prior notice or liability.
Not an offer or investment. AFRI tokens distributed via the Airdrop are utility tokens intended for use within the Africore Protocol. Their distribution does not constitute an offer of securities, investment advice, or any guarantee of financial return. Tokens may have no monetary value.
To be eligible to participate in the Africore Airdrop, participants must satisfy all of the following criteria at the time of claiming:
Africore reserves the right to add, remove, or modify eligibility criteria at any time. The determination of eligibility is made by Africore in its sole and absolute discretion, and its decision is final and binding.
No purchase necessary. Participation in paid programmes (node sale, token sale) may affect the quantity of Airdrop tokens allocated but is not a requirement for basic Airdrop eligibility, subject to meeting the criteria above.
The following persons are expressly excluded from participating in the Africore Airdrop. Participating from an excluded jurisdiction, or misrepresenting your jurisdiction, is a violation of these Airdrop Terms and may result in forfeiture of any allocated tokens and legal consequences.
Excluded jurisdictions include:
Geo-blocking is in place. Africore employs IP-based geo-blocking and wallet screening to identify and prevent participation from excluded jurisdictions. These technical controls do not substitute for participants' own obligation to comply with their local laws.
AFRI token allocations via the Airdrop are determined by participant tier, which is calculated based on qualifying activities completed prior to the snapshot date announced in the official Airdrop announcement. The tier system is as follows:
Final allocations are calculated at the snapshot date. Participants in multiple tiers receive the allocation of their highest tier only — tiers are not additive unless explicitly stated in the Airdrop announcement.
Africore does not guarantee any specific allocation amount. Total distribution is capped at 500,000,000 AFRI tokens. If total eligible allocations exceed this cap, allocations will be proportionally reduced.
All AFRI tokens distributed via the Airdrop are subject to a lock-up and vesting schedule designed to promote long-term protocol health and discourage immediate sell pressure. The default vesting schedule for Airdrop participants is:
Node sale participants (Tier 2) and token sale participants (Tier 3) may have alternative vesting schedules specified in their respective purchase agreements. Where a conflict exists, the purchase agreement prevails.
Vesting is enforced at the smart contract layer. Tokens subject to a vesting cliff cannot be transferred, sold, delegated, or used as collateral until the applicable vesting milestone is reached. Africore is not responsible for any financial loss arising from the vesting schedule.
Vesting enforcement is immutable. Once deployed, the vesting smart contract parameters cannot be altered by Africore or any third party. Please review the vesting schedule carefully before claiming.
Eligible participants may claim their AFRI token Airdrop allocation through the official Africore claim portal at the URL published in the official Airdrop announcement. Africore will never send tokens directly to wallets without a claim action — all distributions require participant-initiated claiming.
The claiming process involves the following steps:
The claim window is 90 days from the official Airdrop announcement date. Unclaimed tokens after this period are forfeited and returned to the Africore Treasury for reallocation at Africore's discretion. The claim window cannot be extended on an individual basis.
Africore is not responsible for lost, stolen, or inaccessible wallet private keys, failed transactions due to insufficient gas, or claims made to incorrect wallet addresses. Always verify you are using the official claim portal URL.
Africore reserves the right to disqualify any participant and forfeit their Airdrop allocation, at any time and without prior notice, if Africore determines in its sole discretion that the participant has:
Forfeited allocations are returned to the Africore Treasury. Disqualified participants have no right of appeal or recourse against Africore for forfeited tokens.
Airdrop farming is prohibited. Creating fictitious accounts, using automated scripts to complete qualifying activities, or coordinating with others to game allocation tiers will result in permanent disqualification and may be reported to relevant authorities.
The tax treatment of airdropped tokens varies significantly by jurisdiction. In many countries, the receipt of tokens via an airdrop may constitute a taxable event, and any subsequent sale, exchange, or transfer of airdropped tokens may give rise to capital gains or income tax obligations.
Participants are solely responsible for determining their own tax obligations arising from participation in the Africore Airdrop, including but not limited to income tax, capital gains tax, and VAT, and for complying with all applicable reporting requirements.
Africore does not provide tax advice. We strongly recommend consulting a qualified tax professional in your jurisdiction before participating in the Airdrop. Africore may be required by law to report distributions to tax authorities in certain jurisdictions and will comply with all applicable reporting obligations.
Africore reserves the right to amend, modify, or cancel the Airdrop and these Airdrop Terms at any time in its sole discretion. Material changes will be communicated via Africore's official communication channels (website, official Telegram, official X/Twitter). Continued participation in the Airdrop after any amendment constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
In the event the Airdrop is cancelled before distribution, Africore's sole obligation is to provide notice of the cancellation via official channels. Africore shall not be liable to any participant for any loss, cost, or damage arising from a cancellation.
